I did not go with forged U Bolts. I had my spring shop bend me round bolts. I have used the round custom bent bolts with no problems. In fact, thats all the spring shops use when U Bolts are changed. They stock various lengths of U Bolt Stock, then custom bend to your length and spring width. Also always use new Deep Nuts and hardened washers....never use lock washers.
