Ugg, I've been working on my tailgate opening. I managed to get the "X" measurement within a 1/4 inch and that made everything line up much better. I still have a long way to go as mine also was hit like yours in the roof area.Thats on the 1/2 ton, I haven't started on the 3/4 yet, it in a lot better shape.I just picked up a 1/2 Panel with the VC front end and believe it or not it's got a Brownie underneath it!
