In rebuilding my 42 WC 1/2 ton I was faced with the problem of not having a tank to even try and repair. I finally found that ordering a 16 gal RCI fuel cell from Summit and also buying the remote fill kit was a good way to solve the problem, although much more expensive than JB Weld. I did have good luck with the goop in repairing a cracked intake manifold.
