Your right on the hose. My thought was to put a bungey cord on it to keep it from coming out. It is the quick release hose racks that the pins slip out on one side. Once the hose starts coming out it is real easy to pull the rest. If I just bunngey it snug it will stay on the rack ok. This is the econo model the nice ones will have a hose reel as a extra cost. If you did lots of fire fighting with it this rack would be a problem having to fold the hose and hook it on the pins each time to put it away. This is mostly for home owners to use in a emergency and when done they can deal with the hose. That is why there is a adapter for a garden hose style hard line to hook up which is what they would use most of the time. Mark H.
