In our State the vehical must be impounded first by a licenced wrecking yard. Then they do a title search on it. If the owner does not pay the towing fees and pick it up then it goes up for auction to the highest bidder. After the sale is over the excess money goes to the state, wrecking yard takes there chunk and a new title is issued. That is what happen to my PW I had abandoned here on my place for over a year. The owner responded at the last miniute to pay the towing fees and ended up paying allmost $4,000.00 in storage befor he had it shipped to him??!! Not a penny went to me for storing it here for over a year but the wrecking yard got $35.00 a day plus the towing fee till he picked it up. Mark H.
