Following WWII when aircraft engines became available through surplus channels, a lot of hobbists got constructive and starting build snow planes. Over the snow travel at that time was either the old Model A snow tractor conversion, or bust out the horse and sleigh. Weasels became available around here shortly after the war. You had to be carefull in turning one direction, due to the torque of the prop. There are still about a dozen or so within a 60 mile range of here. Tom
