I'm wondering how many mechanics with bad manuals are here on-line right now to get the correct answer...= ).
I'm thinking that the best answers to on-line questions are the type of answer that Paul Cook provides. He never guesses, he often quotes verbatim from the manuals in question and adds a bit of first hand experience to compliment the text. When I grow up I want to be just like him. Mikey of course provides the correct non-answer by refering us to the manuals, the point that he is trying to make is; to become self-reliant, a concept not stressed to most sons and daughters these days, but found here in abundance. It can however be a very frustrating answer if one is elbow deep in grease, has a problem and no manual or a poor manual, or the store or shop with the manual is days away.
Mike gives the idea answer for a problem which is days away, but for someone in dire need of immediate help it can be frustrating, no matter how accurate it may be.
However now that I have driveled on, I suppose that the answer to the post may have already been in the Archives, The Best of the Forum or the PIF....= )
