Any part of the steering and suspension can contribute to or help cause selective speed shimmy. The most common on these trucks is an out of balance tire, separated plies or uneven tread wear, alignment, worn bearings, worn tie rod ends, or bad shocks. Start at the tires, since they are worn the balance is surely gone, rotate them and rebalance, if you needed an excuse to get new tires nows the time. Check the alighment if that doesn't do the trick, you should have the alignment checked whenever the tires are changed anyway. Follow Marks methods in his post to check out the steering and suspension components, check the steering box for play at the same time. All of the front can be a culprit, so start at the easiest and cheapest items and work your way through the system.
