The production of the F150 frames for all intense purposes did grind to a halt!! The Dana plant I visit is in Elizabethtown KY where the F150 frames are made. My employers lasers cut all the holes in those frames for the engine mounts and the trans mounts and drains.
They have 4 lines for building the frames. On my last visit in December, only two of those lines were running and only running from Monday through Thursday with two shifts.
Visteon is the only tear one supplier customer that is not in a bankruptcy situation but is cutting close. If Visteon goes bankrupt, I think Ford Motor Company will definatly not survive. They are loosing market share at an unbeilvable rate. Ford sales are down by 1.5% for January and Feburary of this year. And they lost an amazing 2.5 to 3% market share last year.
