Great idea on the bridge crane Gordon. I wanted to do the same thing in the new building. I did pour extra concrete at the support locations in the event I ever locate what I need at a sale. The problem is with the 48' depth it takes a real large beam or beams to span that distance and support a reasonable weight. Something like 5000-8000 pounds. I have temporarily solved my problem by building an adjustable height A frame on heavy wheels. I can raise the cross beam up to the ceiling and also lower it down to roll under the door. There are jacks at each corner to take the weight off the wheels on heavy lifts. There are all kinds of goodies to make our fun easier. Plus they are fun to build.
