My 41 WC(not stock) needs tires (and a couple wheels straightened), and am trying to decide what to get. I have duals on the rear, and don't want to add spacers for wider tires, so I think I am limited to 7.50x16's. I like the look of the original type NDT military tire, but how do they ride on the road? Can I put a 7.50x16 radial on the split rims, and do I need special tubes?
I currently have 7.50x16 bias ply mud tires and the truck follows ruts in the road. Would the round shoulder NDT military tires or radials be better? I do have 4 deg shims under the frontend, and will probably increase that a bit also.
