I know of a 1/2 ton Command Car that started out as 6 volts, but the Army had modified it to 12 volts with a dash guage cut into the rolled part of the dash.
My 3/4 ton Command Car (was a 56) was also a 12 volter. I'm wondering what type of Command Car you have.
