The truck that i am in the process of buying has a moter that has been built up from soup to nuts. The oem is a 318 with stock hp, the new improved balanced and blueprinted motor is still the oem 318, but it now has the power of 400 ponies. The motor as well as the rest of the truck has recieved the best attention.(owener has too many toys, including the 60? convertable camaro pace car) so he is getting rid of this project. the frame is all but new all drive line was rebuilt new brakes, lines, turned rotors etc. I have all pics and reciepts. all that is left to finish is the the interior which justs needs the seat redone, and the big one which is the bearing on the bottom end. the motor only has 2k on it , but for some reason it blew the #2 bearing. I am new with the engine work and am looking for resources(not western auto, or nappa auto parts) to fix the motor. I am told that I need a good forged crank kit(and then have the crank machined 20,000 under). could someone give me some resources(locally I live in the boston area)
