It's your truck. You own it, you're fixing it, right? Paint it like you want. If sometime down the line someone else buys it and wants to repaint it, they can. Do try to keep it original with original parts intact, though, and it will keep it's value much better. I would also suspect that it would be easier to sell a truck painted nicely rather than just OD, as it seems like a lot of people looking for an old truck aren't interested in a truck that is so obviously military as OD paint would make it look.
My thoughts, anyway.
