I have here a PW that claims to be a 1956 truck by its title.
The serial number is 83949898. This might lead one to
conclude that its model is "C-4-PW" per the model year
chart on this page. The name plate says "Model PW-126",
however. Now I'm sure that this has come up before and
been answered, but I wasn't there if so. Anybody have
the answer. The truck is painted in Forest Service
white over green so it was most probably originally
purchased by the Government.
