: I've bought a WM 300. In high gear,two wheel drive,
: there seems to be excessive noise. This is my first
: vehicle of this kind. Maybe that's normal in high gear,
: two wheel drive. The noise is not present in high gear,
: four wheel drive. Thanks, Paul

: My cousins M37 does the same thing. It's been doing it for years (since 1991) or before. I've diagonosed the problem as a bad front differential. Probably worn out ring and pinion gears. Try driving it with the front drive shaft removed and see if it changes the noise. While drive shaft is off reach up and turn the pinion gear flange back and forth, If you have almost 1/4 of a turn backlash like mine, start looking for front end gears. (same as rear end gears) Be sure the front and rear ratios match. It also could be bad pinion bearings.
