Originally the seats were canvas but on the later
models they went to vinyl which is tougher and
longer lasting.
One note, anyone who has ever been in the Army
and had experience with mil vehicles knows that
there is NO standard
configuration. Often different command changed
these truck around to suit their needs.
Is not uncommon to see locally purchased items on
mil trucks. There was no Truck police going around
looking for anyone who put on
unauthorized items. It was pretty hap hazard. So
when you ask if something was standard or proper.
Remember thats only how the book shows it or how
it should have looked. In the real world you do
what works for the situation.
