Previous prospective buyers of my WC 53 Carryall were put off by an oil leak from the rear main bearing seal area. I discovered that the seal had been replaced during a rebiuld, but the small 'h' shaped compression seals betwen the rear cap and the block had been substituted by sealing compound. Putting a new pair of 'h' seals in place cured the problem, and it looked like everything could be replaced with the crank in situ except the top half seal. Gordon 8-)
