Does anyone know whether the 1 3/8" input shaft for Canadian M37s will install in a newer type (NP420) M37 transmission? I need a nice fat input shaft so I can machine it down to 1 1/16" or 1 1/8" 10 spline so I can hook it up to an Advance Adapters Ranger overdrive which will hook up to a Chevy or Ford pattern bellhousing on my new used Hercules diesel which I'm going to put in a 48 B1PW. I'd like to use my spare M37 trans because it's so short and the ratios are good (and I already have one). Thanks.
