Last night I attended the local fund raiser for the AFS, American Field Service, which sponsors exchange students around the world in order to promote peace and mutual understanding. The Ambulance drivers from WWI and WWII started the AFS in 1946, so we hopefully won't have to go through that sort of hell on earth again.
Anyway, I am trying to soften my wife up to the idea of getting an old M43, with the intention of using it to promote AFS. So far she's not buying my ploy. My '53 B3 flat fender is still too much for her sensitive nature, even after 12 years. At least she doesn't say "sell it" every time the subject comes up lately.
It is nice to find a great excuse for restoring and parading an old Dodge 4x4!
