I am not going to say that ALL dealers are crooks, but... a close friend of mine retired from his admin type job here and moved to Florida last year. He always though he would like to try and sell cars, so he took a job with the local Nissan/Toyota dealer in his town. One of the things that really got to him and made him eventually quit was the dog eat dog attitude that was present among the sales staff, as well as the phony deals where they would advertise in the paper they had a specific car with a "great price". Most of the time this was bogus, as the ad implied there were several at this price when there was only one-maybe. The sales staff had to pretend to the customers that they just missed out on being able to buy the advertised car.
