Guys, no problem in Idaho. I have done several and the DMV inspector down here is well versed in MV's. You will need a VIN inspection by law enforcement, a bill of sale and if it came from out of state you will need verification of registery status in the other state. I did a White Scout Car chassis and the guy I got it from really didn't want to go to DMV in WY. I called them long distance and did verify it wasn't registered, but they said their policy prohibited sending the info out of state. Yes. I could drive to WY and get one. We have an MV Club member who is a deputy sheriff and he does our inspections for us and in this case had them run a check through the WYHP. Took the printout, the VIN inspection and the printout and some $ for title fees and sales tax and in two weeks I had a brand inspected title. BTW, some states as in Idaho take a very dim view of title services and at least our inspector doesn't like them. I do know if you come up with one registered to someone they require that a certified letter to be sent. The brand inspection bond lasts for three years. If you are restoring a rig. best to start early and maybe when it's done the brand period will be gone.
