older cars vapor lock more because modern gas vaporizes at a lower temp,or so I'm told. Best electric pump I know of is from FIFTH AVENUE ANTIQUE AUTO PARTS in kansas. They have a web site, do a search and you will find it. LOTS of electrical answers there. They ave a rotary pump, works like an oil pump does, pump gas, ethanol, alcohol, whatever...at low stock type pressure, no other regulator is normally needed, both 6 and 12 volt available.
