Actually, I’d feel sorry for the “spoiled brat”. I still remember building pinewood derby cars with my dad and grandfather when I was 8 and 9 years old. Good memories… plus now I’ve added new ones of building basically the same “block of wood” kits with my two sons. The kid who gets a “ready made” car misses out on the best part of the experience, building something with his dad. My car went up to the championship runs when I was a kid, but I remember the time with my dad and grandfather more fondly than the competition.
