Don't go with a 241 or 270. Find a little bigger toy, 315, 331... the parts out there for the "baby hemis" makes it more expensive. After I started this 270 rebuild... I thought, "Why the hell didn't I just go with a 426?!??!" There are aftermarket parts for the bigger hemis. The 331 might not be that much more popular, but I'll tell you from experience with this 270 rebuild... I'd go a different way if I was starting from scratch. E-mail me if you'd like, I can whine more to you then!!

If you find a good 241 or 270 though, your choice, good luck with the project no matter what engine you pick!
