I have been considering the same thing for my M37. I also do not want that huge box thing to direct the hot air to the windshield.

Power Wagons use a nozzle almost like you describe. Its mounted under the dash, has a hose connection and the outlet spreader. I am thinking of using 2 or 3 of these and installing them so they look good.
