yes matt i believe it. i towed one 2000 miles with my f350 single wheel powerstroker. i think it weighed in at 13800? fully dressed as a fire truck,i remeber making a sharp turn and i sheared the studs on one of my wheels. i just can't believe you get by with a tandem axel single tire trailer. they must be at least 7k axles or 8's but that's still a pile for those tandems.the most i've ever towed was 20k on my tri axle. in my opinion this new 6.0powerstroke is a dog compared to the old 7.3. this new 6.0 has made me want to trade for a doge ctd crew cab, i need the space but the ugly beast mega cab has'nt grown on me yet and doubt if it ever will, plenty of room but sure is ugly.got very close to trading once had the salesman come and and all and something made me peck on the side of the truck, i told the salesmen after i compared between mine and his new ctd
9 heck i've drank beeer out of heavier metal than this and left.
