I dont see why the crank, mains, pistons etc couldnt be re-installed in another block. You would need to have the replacement block bored to the same amount that the cracked block was. The pistons should be marked with their oversize amount. You would probably want new valves and seats done here as well as the cam bearings.
Probably lots I am not thinking about that others will point out.
