But with FD trucks at auctions, you have to look for holes cut in the body for tank and pump mounting, and the possibility it was turned in because of a problem. Its best to look at the truck before you buy whether its GL, GSA, or private owned. Other people may ignore something thats a big problem for you.
The first deuce I bought was 3 years ago from GSA was a 1962 Studebaker with water tank in the bed for $251.00 Batteries and a brake booster it ran good. The bed was rotted out under the tank. Bought a bed on Ebay for $100 in Charlotte and converted it to a dump then sold it to a guy in NY.
