A little off topic... but in my defense - this IS going in my M-37!! And I’m here just HOPING that someone out there is a little more familiar with the differences in the early Dodge Hemis than I am!

On the left is my cam from the ’55 270 Hemi. You’ll see the little key that holds the timing gear in place, and then the end has a hole in it for the bolt. On the right is the cam I bought from a ’54 241 Hemi. The numbers I checked (lift, duration, etc.) all matched so I bought it. You’ll notice however, what I failed to know notice before purchase – the end that sticks out the front of the block is different! It’s threaded for a BIG old nut, and the timing gear must be completely different (does it fit over that other flange/piece that’s on there?). I’m sure Hemi Hot-heads or Kanter will have the right gear... but am I looking at some weird application or something (see, the 241 seems to stick out farther too, will that hit the timing chain cover?!?...), like some Marine engine or something? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks gang!
