I agree with the previous posts. Even if you dont rip out all the wires, take the time to eliminate all of the add-ons and jury riged stuff. Repair or replace any damaged wires that you find that you arent replacing. Like Daniel said, make sure you have good grounds. Alot of electrical problems ultimatly end up being bad grounds.
