In the early 80's I owned a copy of the Simon & Simon TV series truck, but with a short bed. I did not know then how special it was at the time. I've been looking for one the last a several years and they seem to be rarer than an honest politician. It was a 79 PW short box with Macho pkg, maroon with black and the stripe/lettering were orange as I recall. It had everything, and extra guages, A/C, bucket seats with center storage, slide window, double engine belts for accessories. It was awesome, it was sold back in 1988 with a rebuilt engine no less. I'm hoping to find one, but I would love to get up to speed with more knowledge of these trucks. There seems to be more 78's running around, but I like the 2X2 rectanglur head lights and grill look. Trying to seperate fact from fiction. Don't tell me I had a "one off", or I might go crazy. (I did see a lemon green and black one once, it had yellow lettering but I believe it was like an SUV, or whatever they called them then.) Wanting to learn, any help is appreciated! TIA,
