You probably rode in the VECO hovercraft that eventually sank when they were trying to help that stranded whale. Westdock is where I lived on the Crowley barges working on the tugs and preparing for sealift. Sailed all up and down there. Very interesting equipment there between the 90 tired Schuerle trailers and the CATCO rollogons.
Never went 100mph there, maybe 13 knots crushing ice in the tugs. There was enough excitement in that anyway!
