Clint,
My linkage on my WDX is hooked up as in your installation. The end of the spring is attached to the top center bolt that holds the floorboard down. The bolt has a hole in the end of it at the spring hooks into this.
I discovered this the first time I took out the floorboard and the spring went flying.
