Hey, Mopar, that is exactly right. And actually, the nuts in trees are not so different from the loggers, who usually love the forests and trees. I'm with them. The problem comes in , as you said, with the news stories that tend to emphasize the differences rather then the common goal. (and print on wood pulp). And like Davie S. mentions, instead of focussing on trees that grow in a generation, or selective harvesting, the greedos want the old growth 1000 yr. old trees that have a whole habitat under them. Hell, all it used to take was good management.
And as I'm ranting, didn't America seem alot sweeter when all the corporations weren't run by the accountants? Where has the soul of American business gone? Now it's all about the buck.
Makes me want to yell. Where are the days when not everything,(including their reputation), was bought and sold? Hell, even Yardbirds, that kind-of-anachronistic hdw. store a' now been sold to Home Despot.
We of my generation are bridging something here.I remember(barely)pre mass corporate-thought America (and miss it),and here we are heading into 'Everything-corporate-America', and the old days are going for good.
Sheeet. Me only 45, too. Guess I got some long years ahead of me.
Anyways, there are enough places for an ol analog guy like me to hide. And the next generation will never know what they missed. (sob)

PS, I have had a chance to work alot with the next generation, an' most of the ones I met don't know how to use those things at the end of their arms--called hands--, except for typing the computer. We done lost all our machinists, pipefitters, boilermakers, and come up all soft-handed and metro-sexual.
Damn!
Daniel
