That's my mistake - I gave you directions for a negative ground system when the 6 volt FFPW's have positive ground systems. I thought the followup post to my (bad) advice cleared up that mistake. I sincerely apologize for this and hope you didn't harm your wiring. What you got was a direct short to ground from the hot terminal of the coil. That does indicate that you have full power to the coil though. Be sure to check the wires from the ignition switch to make sure they aren't toasted before doing anything else. Again, I'm sorry if this has caused any harm to your truck.
