I would not recommend tying the truck down! I have seen too many wreckers and other trucks with serious frame problems and 'camel humped frames' from having the truck tied off! The correct (and safest ) way is to use scotch blocks or other means in front of the FRONT tires and then use the appropriate number of snatch blocks to give your truck the advantage to pull the mired Allis out! I would say at least 2 blocks would then give you a decent pull strength VS weight and pull the old Allis out without damage to truck, tractor or you! It the bloscks will not hold you, dig the front end of the truck in better and or go up against a tree or rock. Remember..be safe and take your time rigging!
