They sell some levers for compressing valves that hook under the shaft. Different ones for different motors. I'm not a Poly expert. I have worked on many different cars and light trucks. Aren't there bolts through the shafts into the pedestals? There has to be a way to remove the shafts with all rockers on them. Try not to pull any lifters upwards when they stick on the pushrods- they will get lost, and you'll have to pull the intake to get them back in. Otherwise, with piston at bottom, pry valve down enough to un-hook the push rod, then slide/pivot rocker out of the way. Then, return piston to top before removeing locks and keeper, you don't want to drop the valve into the cylnder....

Or maybe by next weekend it will have soaked enough....

Or, just run it....
