It is an M-37, and so is the distributor (tang is offset)
It is not the oil pump being 180 degress off, the engine was running with the old distributor.
Removed cover from old dist. noting position of rotor BEFORE removing.
Did not crank engine.
Replacement distributor is 180 degrees off.
Now how can that be????
