No I have done disk on earlier Fords. ford ran closed knuckle well into the seventies I believe. and the early Ford disk brake caliper bracket was bolted to the knuckle, then later I think they cast it into the knukle. I would try to find a Ford forum or expert as it has been a long time since I turned a wrench on one and I don't want to miclead you if something I said in here is incorrect. disk was an option for a few years until everyone dropped front drum.
