Your pic is a Pontiac, Straight 8 flathead with 4 carbs. Olds version was Rocket V8. The design of the Corvette was a drawing that was handed out to the 3 different divisions. each built there own completley different version based onthe drawings. Unfortunately they gave it to Chevrolet who had the WORST power train of the 3, as far as HP is concerned, at the time.
