Ken Sterrett joined me in the 6x6 today and we went for a ride with Mike and a couple other jeepers! The heavy rains recently melted the snow fast and caused some heavy flooding..We were entering a flooded area when I noticed our local TV station weatherman shootinf a story..so we stopped and talked with him..next thing you know he says 'let me shoot video fo you going through ther flooded area!' so of course I obliged!! I got the old Dodge 6x6 into 3rd gear before we hit the 1-2ft deep water! It was a riot! We were heading away from him but I know he got some great footage!! Cant wait to see it! We had a blast all afternoon in the deep mud and melting snow!! The 6x6 performed fantasticly! I buried her past the running borads once, and was able to work her back out! I left nice trenches in the road about 18"deep!!In fact, while the others were spinning their tire in 4x4 I only engaged the front axle 6 times!! Otherwise the 4 rears with lock-rites did all the work and did it well!!! We had a great ride, Unfortunately, Digger Dan was not there! He and Linda went to his camping place near Oakley Idaho for the weekend !! We made it all the way into hole-in-the-wall and the two newcomers had some fun in the mud pit!
