3/4 ton combat rims of WW2 were made by GoodYear. Mine date 10/42. The bolt flange ring prevents a bullet from seperating it from the rim causing a blow out, typical of the split lock ring flange. The combat rim used with beadlocks holds the tire bead in place allowing a vehicle with a flat tire to continue to travel some distance, hopefully out of harms way, before ruining the tire.
