If you would have read my post I said most stainless steel bolts are weaker than grade 5! Whats the big deal is that not true? I did say here is a good artical explaining it on bolts. Why did you feel it was nessasay to correct me in saying it was OT? In the artical it talks about grade 8 bolts in steel and stainless steel. But on the other subject I did go back and read this is what I found;
Rich's original question;
I am thinking of parting with my 46 power wagon --its allmost a perfect pw with a flat bed (notice he said allmost perfect PW but you can't belive that)and is on a ranch in New Mexico --I have no idea what it should bring so can some one advise me what to ask for it.
Now here comes some of the comments;

Before you get the guy all excited, it would be prudent to see photos and get some information, such as body condition, rust, mechanical condition, etc. A frame-off restoration can reach $18,000, a beater ranch truck with a flatbed may be $1,800.
It's a dis-service to both potential buyers and sellers to just throw out a price without information.
His Comment; in answer to Norm this 46 I will put up with any other and is not some old ranch truck but a truck that is allways garaged and owned by a collector of old cars and trucks.

My post above was not intended to disparage your truck, only disparage the guess about the worth given the great lack of information(even tho he said it was allmost perfect). It could be worth $28,000, but for serious inquiries you need to give some adequate information, more than a "I'll put this up against any truck" type of information.

I've bought and sold a lot of vehicles in my time and seldom does the description meet expectations, on a few occassions a vehicle will exceed the discription, but that is rare and that is a vehicle that will soon be sold.

My comment; Now I know your not ragging on him just putting your point of view out, right Norm? It would not have matterd if he said it was a off frame restore even tho he did say it was a allmost perfect PW, I am sure you would have said something like (maybe in your opinion but not in others, some people have different ideas on what a CORRECT or COMPLETE restore is)(like I have never heard that here befor) who brought up the Beater Ranch Truck with a Flat Bed you did but of course you did not say his was did you? It sure is miss leading a little to me since he did say it was located on a ranch.
Your Comments;
Why are you compelled to put words in my mouth about Rich's truck? I never said squat about the quality of his truck, and I certainly didn't say it was junk, I only said that he needed a better discription of his truck if he wanted to find out the worth. If you need to resort to name calling and lies just because I called you on an error that you posted, get over it. It's pretty pathetic when you try to weasle out of what you said or try to attribute words to me that were not said. This is a written forum format. Don't you understand that all one has to do is go back and read what was said to figure it out???
Hopefully you'll be sober in the morning and you'll feel bad about what you wrote tonight.
MN
My comment is;
By the way I will feel the same in the morning and don’t need to sober up cause I don’t drink, like your inferring I do and I must be affected by it. Just another cut to make you feel better or that your right Norm. Now I must be off my Meds or something? Mark H.
