Sorry to stray off topic, but it is 0029 hrs. and unable to sleep. Please pray for the family of Brother firefighter Dan Nichol who lost his life in a traffic related line of duty incident. Dan was finishing a 48 hr. tour when he lost control on icy roads. He saw his family only for a brief moment on Christmas day at the station and was looking forward to going home to celebrate with them on the 26th. Dan and I worked the East district of Des Moines together, he was a fine firefighter and a gentleman. He leaves behind 5 children ranging in age from 5-20 years. It was the first line of duty death for the Des Moines Fire Department in over 30 years. Your prayers will be much appreciated.
