Different in a lot of ways. The WWII truck had a very differnt bed, center hinged hood, no doors on the cab, bucket rather than bench seat... looks different.
Take the doors off a M37 and sqint hard and it looks like a WC-51, but if you're going to put money into restoring something and want WWII... wait for a decent WC-51 or 52, they can be had for around the same cost as a M37, you just have to wait a little longer for one to turn up.
