This is a great point! I will look into the availability of 6 and 24 volt electric valves.

Earlier in this adventure, I tried to do a mechanical locking differential, but due to the axle design it was not feasible. The only way to design a cable locker would have been to totally redesign the third member to accept the shift fork. If you thought the price that I came out with was expensive, I was at nearly $2800 each for this concept!

The Air Locker can be plumbed as simply as you like. You don't even have to have any electrical devices in the circuit. You just need to get air to the locker, when you want it locked. You can use a static air supply (power tank or regular air tank) and a ball valve for the ultimate in simplicity.
