Engine Oil or Water Heater Question

Anyone here using an aftermarket heater block heater or water heater to keep the motor warm on your flat fender?

If so, what type, brand, model, etc works well and is it worth it?

My truck is now living in its brand new 12x24 home but I dont anticipate heating the building this winter.

Thinking that a block heater may be useful to keep it warm, as my truck is less active in our Virginia winter months.
