I'd be interested in what color it is. I've found it in gray, white, and tan but no black. Lumber yard stuff is priced right but they don't have the color I want and some have hollow cores. What you quoted for price is not out of line. Is Tap Plastics online? The stuff I was looking at can be machined with wood tools(Table saw, planer and such) and I was going to have to put 2 pieces together as you noted. Rubber is not fun to work with, I've done it but it was no walk in the park. Kevin
