He won't steer you wrong. You can use a After Type PTO on an Up To Type transmission with a 1/4" spacer, but you can not use an Up To Type PTO on an After Type transmission. As Spence said, 0.250 inches difference between the PTO mating surfaces on the two spur gear housings, or 6.35mm for the metric inclined.
